That Handsom Devil speaks about death

Fonzy & William Shatner

I want to be in a museum, stuffed in a realistic position like I'm hunting, calling someone to buy and something, way too busy to look up and see what was coming.

I want my bones kept next to somebody with cultural significance, like Fonzy or William Shatner (heh heh). Yeah, somebody famous like Gilbert Gottfreid or the dog from 'Frasier'. That caveman they found? He was a punk, I knew him in high school.

Not that he'll see it here...

Well, this is getting sent all over the place and there's a good chance that you've already seen it, but I still like it. I'm primarily posting it up for Visure, but to be honest, he probably won't watch it here. He can't get to the interwebs from his workplace and since he doesn't bother checking much that's happening on-line at home, his membership here is mostly honorific (that means he's a member only in the spirit of including one of my closest friends in my activities). Anyhow, this one is for you Vis, I hope you like it if you ever see it here.

If it wasn't that they use VB, I'd swear that this was perpetrated by the people behind the "Australia" episode of the Simpsons...

Dear god, why?

Well, it's close enough to 2am and I can't sleep. Brilliant. I have to get up at 6:30am to get ready for work (yes, I'm working through my second Saturday in a row) and I don't like my chances. Since I have time, a laptop and nothing better to do, I thought I'd throw something up.

On November 3rd myself, JZ, Frejak and possibly Kahn (if he's interested) will be going to The Black Crusade. Arch Enemy are opening (good for them), Machine Head are headlining (w00t! Probably the last time we'll get the chance to see them here in Australia) and the best part... Tivium are filling the middle slot on the bill. This is good news for me since Demoniak got me interested in Trivum a little while ago and I've since become quite a fan. In case you were wondering why, this little clip of Matt and Cory playing the solo from 'In The Fire' should answer any questions you may have.

How freakin' sweet are Matt's 'tasty licks'? It's like his fingers are made of some kind of lightning and they're greased with maple syrup! That's how sweet it is! Anyhow, I'm looking forward to it. Should be a lot of fun.

If only I had some kind of musical talent... or in fact any kind of talent.

Ill NiƱo - What Comes Around

Well, since Frejak is looking for new music and I happen to have listened to some that she hasn't, I figured that I'd share one now too. This is the original version and I have a hard time choosing between this and the 'day of the dead' (or DOTD) mix featured on the Res Evil album. Either way, sneak a peek.

I just know that Frejak got a kick out of that. There's nothing that can send a chill up your spine like harmonic metal and this with a latino twist, awsome! Go on, just try and deny it... in your hearts, you know it to be true.

Rock Concert Movement #237:

Taking the audience on a Jungian journey into the collective unconscious, using the shadow as a metaphor for the primal self that gets repressed by the modern persona and also by using an underground setting and labyrinth office design to represent both the depths of the psyche and the dungeon-like isolation of our increasingly mechanistic society which prevents people from finding satisfying work or meaningful connections with others.

Just for Kahn.

I know you've come across this song before, but I thought you'd perhaps like the film clip to go with it.

I'd write up a whole lot of stuff to go with this, but someone else has already done some scribbling in thier own blog, so I'll link you over to that instead.

I promise I'll do something more interesting next post!

What the hell?

So why is it that while I loathe pop music so very much, I still get stuck on Avril Lavinge? Bah! It's some kind of crazy mind control or subliminal messaging in her film clips. It has to be. Seriously, I don't know why but if it wasn't for the fact that she's A) famous and B) married, I'm sure that my tenuous reality matrix would shatter and I'd find myself chasing after her like some love-sick puppy. Ok, maybe I'm not a love-sick puppy kind of guy anymore and I'd be more of a narcisistic bastard like Rayne Sommers from LICD, but you get what I'm talking about.

Either way, she has some freaky mind affecting powers that stem from her film clips. Take a look and see for yourself. Compelling isn't it? If only I could discover the exact source of her power and harness it for my own purposes! The world would be mine in but a fraction of the time when compared to so many of my other schemes for world domination. Perhaps it's for the best that she got married after all...

-Salem
Don't even try mentioning that I wouldn't know about her if she wasn't famous or I'll kill you.
