I'm starting to feel like it's my duty to keep everyone informed about the latest developments in world zombie events. Today, we have a new movie coming out. You can read some interesting info about surrounding events here. Now this movie, The Zombie Diaries, is being promoted as a work of fiction, but I've heard on the grape-vine that this may be more accurately called a documentary. I'll be heading along to see if these guys have anything that I can incorporate into my own zombie plan.

Mel hacked his own Gibson!
Ok, this was pointed out to me by someone on my HRD forum. Nice catch but seriously, what the hell is going on here? Anyhow, if you watch this teaser trailer for Apocalypto, you will see a monkey about 3/4 of the way through. Quickly hit pause and then, using the back arrow, go back 6 frames from the monkey's appearance. This is what you'll see:

If you think I've doctored this, go take a look for yourself. Go on, I'll wait. See, it was there wasn't it! I'm not sure why this happened, but I'm so thankful that it did. Hehehe... Mel Gibson.
All I can say is "What the fuck?" and "Give me a banjo or give me death!"

I so want so say 'Salem Out' but I'm too scared to use Tycho's signature :(

The Prestige
Every great magic trick consists of three acts. The first act is called "The Pledge"; The magician shows you something ordinary, but of course... it probably isn't. The second act is called "The Turn"; The magician makes his ordinary some thing do something extraordinary. Now if you're looking for the secret... you won't find it, that's why there's a third act called, "The Prestige"; this is the part with the twists and turns, where lives hang in the balance, and you see something shocking you've never seen before. If you haven't seen this movie, go and see it. For full effect, I recomend you do your homework on both the history of stage magic and on Nicola Tesla. It's not really needed to enjoy the movie, but it will mean that the twists of the plot will make perfect and obvious sense.
The acting is supurb and you would expect nothing less from the all-star cast. The highlight for me personally came in the form of David Bowie's haunting portrail of Nicola Tesla. That said, I think that the supporting cast was exceptional across the board.
I won't write up any of the plot here as this is the kind of thing that you need to see for yourself. I can't imaging the kind of person that wouldn't appreciate this movie. More to the point, I don't want to imagine that sort of person.

Are you watching closely?
